Color Me Cobalt Blue

Hey everyone, hope you are rested and ready for the week ahead. It's going to be a busy week for me - 6 a.m. conference calls and an all-day meeting at work, Katie's six month appointment (I always have to turn my head the other way when they jab her with those humongous - ok, appropriately sized - needles), and getting ready for Easter. My little sis is visiting later this week, and I'm so looking forward to it! Sisters are the best, aren't they?

Thank you for visiting!

Sun-drenched Summer Days

Charles Dickens had it right - "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."

So we may still be waking up to frost and snow, and those sun-drenched summer days and balmy nights may not be here quite yet, but that should not prevent you from getting a head start on warm weather style by playing with summer's chicest shade, should it? Turquoise - the color that reminds you of the mesmerizing blue-green hue of the Caribbean waters and long summer afternoons spent doing nothing but lazing on the beach with a good book.
Great Expectations, huh? :)

Have a beautiful weekend, everyone!

Monday Inspiration: Espresso, Anyone?

When your basic brown bag becomes your morning pick-me-up. Love when that happens.

Happy Monday everyone, have a wonderful week ahead!

Weekend Inspiration

Baroque splendor or modern minimalism? Who says you have to choose? :)

Saturday evening, with that first hint of spring in the air. P and I were driving back home from a busy afternoon out, and he wanted to stop by Starbucks for a quick coffee run. He usually chooses the drive-through, but this time he wanted to take a few minutes and sit down with a cup of coffee. I was only happy to oblige, given that I love the Starbucks décor. Their coffee? Umm, not so much. I've always been a 'Nescafé-sweetened-with-mom's-love' kinda girl. So anyway, we walk in, and of course my eyes dart to the shelves they usually stack with the pretty coffee mugs and cups for sale. And what do I see? These gold-dipped beauties. Can you say love at first sip? An ode to baroque splendor and a nod to modern minimalism. Exactly how I like it. P is still amused at how a coffee mug could have me smiling in the car all the way back home! I'm so looking forward to enjoying my gold-dipped cup of coffee after work. Now if only spring would hurry up and get here, and it'd be the perfect evening.

Starbucks still has a few of these lovelies left. Get 'em while you can, if you're interested.

Have a great week ahead!
